FAULK -- Maria "Ruth" Chavez Faulk, 91, a resident of Albuquerque for 35 years, passed away Friday, September 25, 2009. She is survived by her children Joe A. Chavez and wife Josie, Irma Martinez and husband Hector all of Albuquerque, Carlos Chavez and wife Sylvia of El Paso, TX; grandchildren Jose Chavez and wife, Terry, Kim Novak and husband, Chris, all of California, Margaret Sanchez, Daniel Martinez, Elizabeth Sehlmeyer and husband, Mike, Jennifer Armenta and husband, Julian, Annette Martinez and Louis Garcia, all of Albuquerque; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers Manuel Duchene of El Paso, TX, Emilio Duchene and wife, Hope of Baton Rouge, LA, Aaron Duchene of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, George Duchene and Suzie of El Paso, TX; sister Yolanda Lara and husband, Richard of El Paso, TX and a large, extended family. She was preceded in death by her first husband Jose A. Chavez; her 2nd husband Woody Faulk; and her son Oscar Chavez. Mrs. Faulk was a longtime resident of the Camino Retirement Apartments. Cremation has taken place and a rosary will be recited, Friday, October 2, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at French, Lomas Chapel. Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, October 3, 2009, 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. N.E. Private interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
