RASCHKE -- Hermine "Minnie" Raschke was born in Giddings, Texas, July 6, 1927 to Henry and Hermine (Wenke) Raschke. Minnie worked for Amerock Hardware in Rockford, Illinois for over 30 years. After retiring, she moved to Albuquerque to be near her sister, Ellen MacDonald. She enjoyed line dancing at both Bear Canyon and Palo Duro Senior Centers until she was no longer able to drive. Although she never married, she treated her nieces and nephew as if they were her own kids. On September 24, 2009, after much love and care by her sister and niece Barbara, she was relieved from her pain. Those left behind are her sister, nieces Barbara Blankenship and husband Robert, Beverly Alison and husband Michael, Lana Alexander and husband Bert, Lisa Cheatham and husband Tom, and Lorie Christian and husband Brian, as well as many relatives and friends. A heartfelt "thank you" to the people at UNM/Lovelace Downtown and Vista Care Hospice. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at French Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE, Albuquerque.
