ROMERO -- Anne P. Romero, 87, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Offerdahl and husband, Roger of Bosque Farms, Shirley Wood and husband, Michael of Homestead, FL and Charlene Trexler and husband, Darren of Peralta; grandchildren, James Chavez and wife, Nichole, Jessica Hernandez and husband, Javier, Jason Dudoich, Elizabeth Healy and husband, Ray, Mitchell Wood and wife, Laura and Angelique Wood; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle and Nichell Chavez, and Alexis and Andrew Hernandez; sisters, Virginia Lopez and Aurelia Gonzales; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank T. Romero; and her brothers, Martin, Julian and Paul Serna. She was employed by Western Union Telegraph for 27 years as a bookkeeper. Anne was active at the First Baptist Church of Albuquerque for many years. Her greatest joys were caring for her family, gardening and tending to her home. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. A service will be held in Anne's honor on Saturday, September 19, 2009, 9:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.
