LAMKIN -- Charles Lamkin, 95, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 29, 2009. He had been in poor health for sometime. He was born in Wray, CO on May 29, 1914 and he graduated high school in Ft. Collins, CO where the family had moved. In 1951, he moved to Los Alamos where he was employed at the Laboratory as a machine shop supervisor where he worked until his retirement in 1971. He had many interests but he especially enjoyed working on antique clocks. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughter and son-in-law, Don and Sheryl Standridge of San Jose, CA; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Lamkin of Albuquerque; grandsons, Jeff Lamkin of Tallahassee, FL, Kevin Lamkin of Albuquerque, Scott Standridge of Gilroy, CA; and granddaughter, Lisa Standridge of San Jose, CA; two great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his son, Jack Lamkin and granddaughter, Jill Lamkin. At Charles requests there will be no funeral services. French 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE (505) 275-3500
