JOSEPH -- Colleen Joseph born April 11, 1927 in Albuquerque, passed after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 yrs, Gerald Joseph; her parents Richard and Edith Mulvaney; her first husband, the father of her four children, Clifford Everett. She is survived by her sister, Karen Reese Chavez; her children, Geneie Everett and her husband Perry, Joe Everett and his wife Melody, Geri Everett and her husband Kevin and Janet Everett; as well as her stepchildren, Pat and his wife Cindy, Paul Joseph and Marilyn Posner; her grandchildren Ryan Fellows, Kevin Fellows, Mary Alix Formhals and Anne Everett as well as three great- granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews throughout her family. The matriarch of a large clan, she was the heart and hearth of her family. Colleen and Gerald enjoyed travel throughout the world especially France and the South Pacific. She was an accomplished water color artist, active gardener and dedicated docent at the NM Museum of Natural History. She lived a varied and active lifestyle playing tennis, skiing and fishing. When she wasn't enjoying the outdoors, she could be found commanding a Bridge game. A private interment was held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Sunset Memorial. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Los Poblanos Inn located at 4803 Rio Grande Blvd on September 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the NM Museum of Natural History.
