HOLWICK -- Karen June Holwick, age 59, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 20, 2009. Karen was born February 13, 1950 in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Phillip Holwick (USAF) in 1989; and her father, Arlie Reed in 2006. She graduated Highland High School in 1968 and attended Lubbock Christian University. She married Phillip in 1970. She later attended Albuquerque TVI where she earned her nursing degree in 2000 and was a member of Phi Theta Cappa for academic achievement, and worked as an RN at Health South and in the OR at Presbyterian Hospital. She is survived by her four sons, Matthew, Peter, Andrew, and Adam; daughter-in-law, Ai; and grandson Vincent; as well as her mother, Juanita Reed; and sister Sheryl Arve; and brother, Les Reed. Her family and friends really love her and she will be missed. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 2;00 p.m., at Montgomery Blvd. Church of Christ, 7201 Montgomery Blvd NE.
