SLAVENS -- Una Eileen Slavens, 75, LaGrange, IN, went to be with our Heavenly Father June 14, 2009. She was a member of North Vernon Order of Eastern Star, United Methodist Church, Terre Haute, and attended the Stroh (IN) Church of Christ. She is survived by husband Robert L. Slavens; children Eileen (John Sr.) Lurker, Tonya (Craig) Hoppes, Rob (Lecia) Slavens, and David (Ursula) Slavens; brothers James E. McDaniels, Ralph McDaniels, and O.R. Bingley; sister Ann Myers; mother-in-law Frances Slaven; grandchildren Angelia (Matthew) Thorpe, John (Alyson) Lurker Jr., Drew Lurker, Ryan Lurker, Stacy (Troy) Baer, Kelly (Kevin) Ross, Amy (Adam) Copeland, Bobby Slavens, Brock Slavens, Morgan Candelaria-Slavens, and Sam Swagerty; great grandchildren Avery, Nolan, and Chase Thorpe, Caroline and Evelyn Lurker, Abbey and Dylan Ross, McKenzie and Jaden Baer, Ava Copeland. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation there from 4-8pm Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Roselawn Cemetery, Terre Haute.
