SANCHEZ -- Margie B. Sanchez, 80, mother, grandmother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, May 26, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children, Lorraine Valenzuela, Ronnie Sanchez and wife, Lorrie, Shirley Gabaldon and husband, Alfred, Teresa Armenta and husband, Matt, Doris Sanchez and husband, Eric; her loving grandchildren, Mattie, Bryan, Marc, Antoinette, Beverly, Jason, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Erica, Crystal, Mike, and Marcus; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Isaiah, Julian, Elijah, Madalynn, Kendall, Jenelle, Marcos, and Mercedes; her sister, Dora Garza; sister-in-law, Dorothy Sierra and husband, John; brothers-in-law, Bonifacio Sanchez and wife, Alice, and Freddy Sanchez and wife, Sally; numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and neighbors whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Marcos Sanchez. Margie was a devout member of the St. Edwin Catholic Church. There she was a member of the Legion of Mary and was a Eucharistic Minister. Margie retired from the Bernalillo County Treasurers office after 25 years of service. A Rosary will be recited Friday, May 29, 2009, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 30, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Mattie Armenta, Bryan Gabaldon, Marc Valenzuela, Jason Sanchez, Jeffrey Sanchez, and Marcus Armenta will serve as pallbearers.
