PADILLA -- Annie Padilla, 91, passed away May 20, 2009. She was born March 26, 1918 to Miguel and Petra Chavez, in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her three children, Marian Grant and her husband Charles, of Albuquerque, NM, Petra "Patsy" Padilla, of Albuquerque, NM, and Larry Padilla of Denver, CO; six grandchildren, Steven Madrid, Philip Madrid, Richard Madrid, Jeannie Duckworth, Judy McNabb, Eric Madrid; seven great-grandchildren, siblings, Kate Fuentes, and husband Raymond, of Albuquerque, NM, Antonio Padilla, of Santa Rosa, NM, Arsenio Padilla, of Albuquerque, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Annie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sotelo Padilla, in 1992. She was a life long resident of Albuquerque, NM and a founding member of Monterey Baptist Church. Annie liked reading, sewing, and loved her feline friends. She also loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, the jewels of her eye. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 28, 2009, at 10:30 a.m., at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel. A private Ennichement will be held at a later date.
