CRUZ -- Lynn Carrillo Cruz, 49, passed away May 21, 2009 after battling with breast cancer for more than two years. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Joel Cruz Esparza; children: Eli Carrillo, Joel A. Cruz, Victoria A. Cruz and Nicolas A. Cruz; parents: Dick and Edna Sewill; sisters: Ann Sewill and Barbara Gabaldon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lynn was a native of California and moved to New Mexico in 1984. She was a graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and UNM School of Law Cum Laude. She was admitted to the State Bar in 2005. Lynn was a loving mother, wife and caring godmother to many friends and family. She was very intelligent and inspired others to do their best and yet was very humble. Thank you to the staff of the UNM Cancer Center at 900 Camino de Salud, Albuquerque, NM 87131. Donations in Lynn's memory may be made to the cancer center.
