ARMIJO -- Uvaldo "Waldo" Armijo, 87, born in Alameda, NM went to be with his Lord, April 29, 2009. He was the son of Frank G. and Juanita Armijo (deceased) of Alameda, New Mexico. "Waldo" is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 66 years, Theresa, daughters, Bea Green and husband Jerry, Linda Jess and husband Keith and Cathy M. Harvey, of Phoenix, AZ, sons, Richard and wife Jayne, of Maui, HI, and Danny, and wife Lorraine, of Alameda, NM. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. "Waldo" was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Cathy D. Armijo. "Waldo" was a very loving, devoted husband and father. He was proud to serve in the 249th Army Air Force Base Unit as a Flight Instructor. He retired from the Postal Service after 33 years. After he retired he worked his farm and apple orchard, as well as, managed various business interests. Waldo loved the outdoors, he fished, hunted and was an avid golfer and bowler. He played in the Senior Bowling League and was a member of the Lion's club. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family and friends enjoying life. Waldo will be greatly missed by everyone. Viewing will be at 5:00 p.m. and Rosary service will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 1st at the French Mortuary, 9300 Golf Course Rd, NW, Paradise Hills. Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm Saturday at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd., NW, Paradise Hills. A celebration of Waldo's life will follow at the St. Jude's reception hall. After cremation, Waldo will be laid to rest, Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
