ROPER -- Alaine (Margaret) Roper, passed away March 8, 2009, at the age of 68. She was predeceased by her parents, Lyle and Margaret Roper, and daughter, Kenna Strupe. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Flo Roper of Raton, NM; nieces and nephews, Karen Janway, Steve Roper, Mary Lynn Roper, and Mark Roper, four great-nephews, and two great-great nephews, eight step-nieces and nephews; cousins, Sandra Westerfeld, Sharry Hay, David Hay, Thomas Hay, Carol Mondt, Darlene Patterson, and Charles Torquato; and many friends. She touched our lives and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 10600 Del Rey, N. E. on March 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be at a later date in Raton, NM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your local Animal Shelter or Animal Rescue.
