COOKSEY -- R. Dolores Cooksey, 88, and a resident of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, since 1982, passed away at her home on February 24, 2009. Delores was born on September 26, 1920 in Swerigan, Texas to William and Rena (Reed) Kirby. She was a retired telephone operator and is survived by her husband, John E. Cooksey of the family home in Truth or Consequences; by her sons, John W. and wife, Mary S. Cooksey, of Escondido, California, and Bruce Alan Cooksey and wife, Pamela Sue of Palm Desert, California; two grandchildren, Matya and Noah; and by a sister, Rena Jean Thompson of Tucson, Arizona. Cremation will take place, and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are by Kirikos Family Funeral Home, Inc. & Sierra Crematory, LLC, 303 N. Cedar St., T-or-C, NM
