WHITNEY -- Geraldine "Geri" Whitney, 78, died Sunday, February 22, 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Whitney; son, Guy Whitney; grandchildren, Tamara, Tad, Michael and Tara Whitney; great-granddaughter, Isabel Whitney and sister, Viola Vallas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Hazel Elcess and her brother, James Elcess. Mrs. Whitney was an active lifetime member of VFW, George O. Breese, Chapter 401 Auxiliary. Services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2009, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. N.E.
