GABALDON -- Luciana C. Gabaldon, 87, went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2009. She was born in Belen, New Mexico and became a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents Carlos and Rebecca Castillo; her brothers Inez and Gregorio; her sisters Catalina Chavez and Stella Vigil; and first grandson Marcus G. Gabaldon. She is survived by her two sons Patrick, and John and his wife Brenda; five grandchildren, John Jr. and wife Erica, Jennifer, Anna, Kelly and husband Max, and Rebecca; nine great-grandchildren, Corsino, Jerrianna, John III, Jose, Mark, Eric, Santiago, Keegan, and Madison; and many relatives. She will be missed by many friends. She was retired from the Federal Housing Authority in 1979. She will be remembered by all her paintings and crafts. A Rosary will be recited Friday, February 13, 2009 at 7:00 pm, at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at St. Therese of Little Flower Catholic Church, 300 Mildred Ave NW, with Father Javier Gutierrez. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Gabaldon Jr., Corsino Martinez, Ernie Chavez, Max Monnheimer, Udell Vigil, and Doyle Weinzrod; honorary pallbearers will be John Gabaldon III.
