FORKNER -- Charles Lee After a long illness, Charles Lee Forkner passed away on January 1, 2009 at the age of 57. Charles is survived by his beloved daughter, Nicole Forkner Daley; two grandsons, Devin and Benjamin Daley; his mother, Mary Jane Folkner; former wife Deborah Forkner; all of Albuquerque; and one brother, William Forkner of Houston, Texas as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and many friends. Charles was born in Guam on December 13, 1951. His family moved to Albuquerque many years ago, and he graduated from Sandia High School. He is preceded in death by his father, Retired Lt. Col. Bob Forkner, with whom he operated a successful business, Futures Trading, for most of his adult life. Charles was very involved in the New Mexico Lincoln Continental Club, and loved classic cars. He also loved the outdoors, particularly fishing and camping out. Cremation has already taken place. Rather than any formal service, anyone wishing to tribute to a life that ended too soon, donations to Alcoholics Anonymous would be appreciate by family and friends.
