ALLAN -- Leona Ruth Allan, born February 3, 1930, died in her home Thursday morning just the way she wanted. She fought many fights to stay in her home and with the help of loved ones, she peacefully left this world her way. She is survived by her daughter, Rochelle McGee, three granddaughters, Barbara, Melody, and Jennifer. Her grandson James McGee, 13 great grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Kris, Anna, Angela, Zachary, Esperanza, Austin, Joey, Jimmy, Justin Audrey and Sierra, two great-great grandchildren Abbigal and Matthew. Her life was dedicated to caring for others. For over 20 years she took care of mentally and physically handicapped children into their adulthood. She adopted our beloved Jackie and cared for her until her death in 2002, whom she will now join in heaven. She was a very strong, determined, stubborn woman and yet so gentle, soft and loving.
