BAKER -- J. Norman Baker, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, died Thursday, December 25, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Baker; sons, J. Allan Baker and wife Julie of Dona Ana, NM and Stuart Baker and wife Diane of Los Alamos, NM; daughter, Linda Perez and husband, Joe of College Station, TX; seven grandchildren, Luke, Seth, Zach, Greg, Corey, James, and Jenna; sister, L. Virginia Mashburn of Independence, MO. Norman served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Sandia National Labs after 30 years of service. He has been a longstanding member of Sombra Del Monte Christian Church. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Sombra Del Monte Christian Church, 2525 Vermont NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the church or a charity of your choice.
