ROSE -- Patricia Rose, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Rose; daughter, Peggy and husband, Charles and family in Fayetteville, TN; sons, Robert and wife, Rosemary and John and wife, Virginia living in Albuquerque, Louis and wife, Karen living in Kuching, Malaysia; 11 grandchildren; one great- grandson; and brother, Ross of Oklahoma. Patricia was a noted landscape artist of the Southwest being a multi-winner in many competitions receiving several awards from the New Mexico State Fair Fine Arts Competition including the Governor's Award. She has won the State Fair Purchase Award four times. One of her works was presented to Mrs. Barbara Bush who hung it at Camp David. She has been associated with Weem's Gallery for over 25 years. Weem's Artfest selected Pat's painting one year for prints to raise funds for the Children's Hospital. Pat attended 6 years of Bible Study Fellowship and did mentoring of girls at YDDC. She is a member of the Annunciation Parish and has donated many of her prints and cards to support missionaries. Friends may visit French, Lomas Location, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m on Thursday, December 18, 2008. Rosary will be recited Friday, December 19, 2008, 8:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Church, 2621 Vermont NE. Mass will follow at 8:30 a.m., with Rev. Bennett Voorhies officiating. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, 700 Yale Blvd SE. A reception will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church hall at Our Lady of Annunciation Church.
