LUCERO -- Albert E. Lucero, Sr., 67, longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008. He is now in the loving arms of his parents and brother. Albert was a Vietnam Veteran and a well-known musician. He was an outgoing person. He played the sax with various musical groups and was nominated into the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame. He is going to be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife, Rita Lucero; three sons, Patrick and his wife, Carol, Dennis, and Albert Jr.; step-children, Gerald, Michael, Cindy, and Sandra; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers, Flavio and his wife, Gus, Roger and his wife, Lucille; sister, Martha and her husband, Marty Duran; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who loved him and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred, NW. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with US Army Honors.
