BOYD -- Ronald Dean Boyd Sr., age 65, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away at his home Wednesday, November 12, 2008. He was born September 26, 1943 to Howard and Mildred Boyd. He married Cindy on October 19, 2000 in Tacoma, WA. Mr. Boyd was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War and retired as a Staff Sgt. after 23 years of service to his country. He had a passion for growing roses. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Cindy of Albuquerque, NM; his daughter, Kimberlee Boyd; sisters, Betty L. Tompkins and Mary Sue Bowes, all of Florida; his brothers, Donald E. Tompkins and John J. Boyd, both of Albuquerque; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Dean Boyd Jr. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment of his cremated remains will take place at a later date in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Those that desire to send flowers, the family would prefer artificial arrangements, please.
