VALDEZ -- Frances Valdez went with the Lord Monday, November 17, 2008 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Manuel L. Valdez; and son, John Valdez. She is survived by her children, Marie Corona and husband, Alfonso, Patsy Valdez Judkins and husband, Jerry Sr., Steve Valdez and wife, Diane, and Walter Valdez and wife, Dorothy; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Valdez will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. followed by a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 919 7th St. SW. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Michael Valdez, Steve Corona, Alfonso Corona Jr., Jaeffery Judkins, Joseph Colmenero, and Donovan Sanchez.
