MARTINEZ -- Vicente J. Martinez, 77, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM passed away November 15, 2008. Mr. Martinez is survived by his son, Joe Martinez and wife, Janelle; his companion, Yvonne Hotchkiss; four sisters, Lupe Cote, Theresa Matlock and husband, Bennie, Sara Chavez and husband, Lawrence, Kathleen Serna; brother, Raymond Martinez; two grandchildren, Adam and Rosie Martinez; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary; parents, Isadoro and Librada; brothers, Martin, Andrew, Frankie, and Joseph; sisters, Jessie and Mamie. Mr. Martinez was a member of the Catholic Church. Mr. Martinez retired from the City of Albuquerque and enjoyed traveling with Yvonne after his retirement. Mr. Martinez enjoyed playing pool at the Senior Citizen Center in Rio Rancho and the time he spent with his grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18, 2008 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto, reciter. Final visitation will be Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers are Adam Martinez, Rudy Ortega, Ralph Gonzales, Rudy Varela, Rudy Torres, Gene Brown. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
