CHAVEZ -- Gregory Chavez, 56, a life-long resident of Albuquerque passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Greg retired as Chief of the Albuquerque Fire Department. Greg loved music and played his guitar and sang with several bands. He was a great husband and father; he was a wonderful brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all. Greg is survived by his wife of 25 years, Betty; his son Andrew; siblings Alex Chavez, Jr. and wife Julie, Janet Michaels, and Daniel Chavez. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be Tuesday, November 18, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
