JONES -- Charles Dale Jones passed away on October 22, 2008 at his home in Edgewood. Charley was born May 31, 1936 in Glenwood, NM. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy; and is survived by his three children, son Tim and wife Colleen of Albuquerque, son Lynden and wife Lynette of Loveland, CO, and daughter Kristy Spainhauer and husband Sean of Abilene, TX; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two siblings, brothers Durward Jones and wife Connie of Reserve, NM, and Chris Jones and wife Conny of Edgewood, NM. Charley graduated from Highland High School in 1954 and was a 35 year member of the New Mexico Air National Guard, retiring as a Chief Master Sargent. He was a Vietnam veteran and proud that all three brothers had served in the Vietnam combat zone at the same time. Charley was a fourth generation New Mexican. He was a gifted poet and wrote beautifully and lovingly of his family, friends and his Catron County home country and heritage. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
