WHITE -- John William White, age 59, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 23, 2008, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 13, 1949 in Sherman, TX, and was a resident of Regina, NM, where he was a member of the Catholic Faith. John was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Frances White; and a sister, Audie M. Peacock. John is survived by his loving partner of 24, years, Carol Thompson-White; his children, John W. White, Jr., James W. White, Jeffery W. White, and Hope Jones; three grandchildren; his sisters, Ethel Markland, Mary Graham, Loretta Carroll, Alma Berg, Frances Barron; brothers, James, Noel, and Clay White; and numerous extended family members and friends. John will be greatly missed by all. Services have been tentatively set as follows: A rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
