DELLINGER -- Winnie Lue Dellinger, 79, died Thursday, October 16, 2008, in Albuquerque, NM. Funeral Services will be held Friday morning, 10:30 a.m., October 24, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton with Reverend Jay Jones officiating. Winnie Lue was born October 2, 1929, to Esther Anschutz Baird and Charles Dewey Baird at the family ranch in Centerville, NM. She received most of her early education in Amistad, NM, but moved to Clayton to attend Clayton High School, where she graduated in 1947. Lue moved to Seagraves, TX in 1953, but returned to Clayton in 1958, where she continued to live until 2006 when she moved to Albuquerque to be closer to her family. During her many years in Union County, Lue was active in banking and ranching, was an avid bowler and gardener, and was active in several local organizations. Lue was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two children, Christie Swayden and husband Chad of Albuquerque, NM, and Malcolm Hudson and wife Sharon of St. Louis, MO; her sister, Bonnie Baird Beine of Ft. Sumner, NM; three nieces, Debra Wiley of Alexandria, VA, Lue Anne Crist of Ft. Sumner, NM, and Paula Baker of Houston, TX; and two grandchildren, Caleb Swayden and Connor Swayden of Albuquerque, NM. Doug Hudson, Lue's first husband and Malcolm's father, resides in Odessa, TX. Donovan Dellinger, Lue's second husband and Christie's father, is a resident of Amarillo, TX.
