SANCHEZ -- Gabriel "Gabe" V. Sanchez, 70, resident of Albuquerque, went home to the Lord on Thursday, October 16, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernesto and Carlota Vigil. He is survived by his brothers Ernie and Melba Vigil, Dan and Donna Vigil, and Abie and Antionette Vigil; his sisters Selina and Rosendo Lujan, Carol and Carmel Chavez, and Onila and Maranio Garcia; and many nephews and nieces. Gabe served his country in the Marine Corps. He retired from Sandia Labs and was a woodworker. Rosary will be recited Sunday, October 19, 2008, 6:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas NE. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, October 20, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Torreon, NM with Fr. Virgil Furfaro, celebrant.
