MILLER -- Evangeline "Van", a resident of Bernalillo, passed away October 11, 2008 at age 79. She was the daughter of Petra and Isidor Wiggins. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Robert O. B. "Ben" Miller; seven children, Henry Miller, wife Diane, Chris Miller, wife Sherry, Benita Romero, husband Manuel (deceased), Jean Ganley, husband Tom, Ann Miller, and Joseph Miller. She was the loving grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother "GG" of six. Evangeline was preceded in death by her daughter Mitsu; her parents; and two siblings. She worked for Veterans Administration and retired from Social Security. Evangeline was a poet, artist, extraordinary parent, wife and friend to many. Pallbearers are her seven grandsons, Robert Miller, Mark Hahs, Kiel Hahs, Kacy Ganley, Benny Miller, Angelo Miller, David Rostro, and Nicky Sanchez. Honorary Pallbearers are grandson Jacob Miller, and Orlando Montoya. Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church, 301 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Church.
