HARRIS -- Maria Inez Harris, 84, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at her home in Magdalena, NM surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 30, 1923 in Magdalena, NM. Inez and her husband owned and operated the Trails End Grocery Store in Magdalena for many years. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Duran; her husband, C.V. "Punch" Harris; her grandchildren: Richard Latasa and Breann Wilson. She is survived by her sons: Patrick Harris and wife, Dorene of Alamo, NM; and Rex Harris of Magdalena; daughters: Celia Latasa and husband, Mariano of Magdalena; Laurance Gallegos and husband, Johnny of St. Augustine, FL; Cecilia Wilson and husband, Buck of Magdalena; and Martha Harris of Magdalena; sisters: Geneva Ruiz of Camp Verde, AZ; and Josie Chavez of Socorro, NM; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Magdalena. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene with Father Andy Pavlak as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Magdalena Cemetery. Pallbearers are Juan Latasa, Neal Harris, Evan Harris, Danyashi Harris, C. V. Harris and Gordon Harris. Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Gallegos, Julius Betone, John Paul Gallegos, Joshua Latasa, Dominic Latasa, Will Montoya, Clint Montoya and Shane Montoya.
