CHAVEZ -- Lillie Baca Chavez, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. Lillie is survived by her children, Solomon P. Chavez, III and wife, Eve of Colorado Springs, CO, Charlene Gonzales and husband, Roberto of Taos, Gina Chavez, Steve Chavez and wife, Gina, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren , Monica and husband, Kirk, Greg and wife, Kelly, Marcos, Joseph, Miguel and Lisa; great-grandchildren, Kendra, Rheanna and Ryne; sisters-in-law, Olivia Martin, Rachel Chavez of Albuquerque and Priscilla Griego and husband, Bill of CA, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon P. Chavez, Jr. Lillie retired as a manager of Bank of New Mexico. She was a former member of El Buen Samaritano United Methodist Church and an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed golfing, quilting, and working as a volunteer for 20 years at Presbyterian Hospital in Patient Transport. Memorial Services will be held Friday, September 12, 2008, 3:00 p.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3715 Silver SE, with Rev. David Madara officiating.
