KURTZ -- Helen A. Kurtz, age 94, formerly of Glenwood, IL and South Chicago, died on August 12, 2008. Helen was born on April 25, 1914. She was married for 65 years to the late Adam Kurtz. Beloved mother of Terry Toman of Albuquerque, Larry (deceased), Anita (Ron) Darragh of Beecher, IL, and Greg (Sue) Kurtz of Valparaiso, IN. Loving grandmother of Chris (Terri), and Jon (Stephany) Toman, Jeni (Dean) Jones, Larry (Diana) Kurtz, Laura (Pete) Hamm, Kim (Jeff) Conery, Tim Darragh, and Katie, Michael and Lisa Kurtz; fond great-grandmother to Sinclaire, Cameron and Melina Toman, Kristina and Nicole Jones, Bobby and Amanda Kurtz, Beth (Chris) Vavroutsos, Becky, Peter and Jacob Hamm, Aidan and Olivia Conery; great-great-grandmother to Cameron Kurtz and Madelyn Vavaroutsos. Helen enjoyed a 15 year career as a piano accompanist for the Chicago Park District. She was a member of the St. John's Parish (Glenwood, IL) Women's Guild. A bedside Memorial Service was held in Albuquerque immediately following her death. Viewing 4-8 p.m., on Friday, August 15, 2008 at Rosemoor Funeral Home, 17943 Torrence Ave, Lansing, IL 60438. Mass on Saturday, August 16, 2008, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Knock Church, located on the corner of 163rd and Hirsch in Calumet City, IL, 60409. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
