SANCHEZ -- Max W. Sanchez died Wednesday, August 6, 2008. He was 90 years old. Max lived on the farm where he was born, the youngest son of 15 children. He served in World War II, and after the war, he worked as a postal carrier for 37 years. He served for decades as an usher for the Saturday 5:30 p.m. Mass at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town. Max loved to dance and travel, and he was an exemplary farmer. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann; his sister, Helen and her husband, Chris Ogaz; sister-in-law, Mary Sandoval; his daughter, Maxine and her husband, James P. Bushman; his son, Walt Sanchez; his grandchildren, Jenise Aminoff, James V. Bushman, Max Sanchez III, Jason Sanchez, and Karissa Bushman; his great-granchildren, Tyler, Samantha, Derek, Adrian, Hope, and Faith Sanchez, and Annelise and Eleanor Aminoff; many nephews, nieces, and cousins, special long-time friend, Joe Moya; and countless other beloved friends and neighbors. Services will be held at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, August 10, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 11, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with Burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St NW, ABQ, 87107. 343-8008
