TIPTON -- Corinne Whallon Tipton, age 85, passed away in Albuquerque on Sunday, July 27, 2008 after a prolonged illness. Corinne was a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa, NM. She worked for the State Police department, and the State of New Mexico in Santa Rosa, retiring in 1988. Corinne is survived by her eldest sister, Lucille Tipton currently in Albuquerque; daughter, Anna Womack of Albuquerque; grandson, Rian Collins; and two great- grandchildren Morgan and Riley of Parker, CO. Both sides of Corinne's family were early pioneers in New Mexico; her mother's family, Juan and Beatrice Patron originally of Lincoln, NM, and her father's family, the Tiptons of Watrous, NM. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 2 p.m., in Santa Rosa at the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Arrangements made by Chavez Funeral Home, 472-3369.
