MARTINEZ -- Leo Blas Martinez, 71, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on July 23, 2008. Mr. Martinez is survived by Laura V. Martinez; his children, Leo M. Martinez, Jimmy D. Martinez, Laura E. Martinez; his granddaughter, Rory K. Martinez; his sister, Lydia Sandoval and husband, Joe; his brother, Blas Martinez Jr. and wife, Sadie; his aunts, Eva Cordova and Martha Misquez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Martinez was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, and a member of the American Legion, post 13. Visitation will be Monday, July 28, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 11:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 p.m., by a Franciscan Friar.
