ARMIJO -- Frank P. Armijo, 94, went home to Our Heavenly Father on July 10, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Armijo of 50 years; his parents, Manuelita and Candido Armijo; his sons, Frank Armijo Jr., Candido Andrew Armijo, Raymond Marty Armijo; and his daughter, Concepcion Connie Barela. He is survived by his children; daughter-in-law, Dolores and husband Raymond Flores; son, John Armijo and wife Frances; son-in-law Tranquilino Barela; daughter, Marcella Padilla and husband Art; son, Peter Armijo and wife Joann; daughter, Gina Lopez; and son, Tony Armijo. Frank had 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Frank was born and raised in Albuquerque, he joined the US Army in August 1943 at the age of 20, he served in WWII, and he then retired from the Army after 20 years of service. Pallbearers will be Jose Dario Barela, Lawrence Barela, Fabian Lopez, Arthur Lopez, Rome Armijo and John Armijo Jr. Honorary pallbearers, Uriah McAfee, Scott Armijo, Estevan Lopez, Pete Armijo Jr., and Mario Montano. Rosary will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal S.W., on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 9 a.m., at St. Anne's.
