MCFALL -- Fredo W. McFall, 77, of Cedar Crest, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at his home. He was born on August 18, 1930, to the late Raines Austin and Mary Allen McFall and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Fredo retired from the U.S. Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer and had the distinction of being assigned to the commissioning crew of America's first nuclear submarine, the U.S.S. Nautilus. He was a former Naval JROTC instructor at Highland High School and was the founder of McFall Electric. Fredo married the former Lauretha Lee on June 8, 1950. He is preceded in death by three sisters, Aileen Rogers, Billie Mullins, and Mona Marie Reeves. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lauretha "Lou"; a son, Gary and his wife, Valerie, Edgewood; four grandchildren, Nathan and his wife, Audrey, and Rachel all of Albuquerque, Jordan and Jake both of Edgewood; two sisters, Alice Calkins and Amy Buckmaster, both of Oregon; two brothers, Nelson McFall, Moriarty and Norman McFall, Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield and Rev. David Edwards officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008.
