STURGEON -- Omer Leroy Sturgeon, age 83, passed away on April 16, 2008, in Albuquerque, NM. He was born to Omer and Myrtle Sturgeon on June 21, 1924, in Southern, IN. Lee married Bettye Jane Memmer in 1945 in Evansville, IN and worked for ICX for most of his adult working life. He loved to fish and had a passion for golf. Lee cherished his family and friends and made the best of everything that came to him. He will be missed by all who knew him. Lee is survived by his two sons, Jon Mark Sturgeon and Jack Lee Sturgeon and his wife, Ritamarie Theiler; his granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh Sturgeon, all of Albuquerque; and one brother, Robert L. Sturgeon of Cedar Crest. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye J. Sturgeon. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd Chapel. The interment will be private. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel on Friday, April 18, 2008, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
