WALDE -- Clayton A. Walde, 82, a resident of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2008. Clayton was born November 30, 1925, the son of Andrew and Elsie I. Eklund Walde in Mt. Vernon, Washington. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 9676 and the D.A.V. Clayton had been a carpenter in the construction business before he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Walde, in October 2007. Clayton is survived by four children, Bryan Walde and wife, JoAnn, of Bullhead City, AZ, Lyle Walde and wife, Chris, of Rhoadesville, VA, Jeff Walde of Mt. Vernon, WA, and Kathleen Walde, and Ray Lopez of Albuquerque, NM; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Walde; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Visitation for Clayton will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with a Graveside Service on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Rio Rancho with Military Honors being presented by the United States Army Honor Guard.
