ATENCIO -- Remigia Atencio passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 in Albuquerque at the age of 86. She was born October 1, 1921 in Tierra Amarilla, NM. Mrs. Atencio is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Atencio; and grandsons, Richard Herrera and Tommy Baca. She is survived by her daughters, Priscilla Kentupp, Lorrie Early, Theresa Baca and husband, John Baca, Charlene Salas and husband, James Salas; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 great great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Atencio will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at San Jose Church where the Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Salas, Frank Salas, Joseph Sanchez, Bennie Padilla, John Baca and Felix Torrez.
