COFFIN -- Charles Thomas Coffin, 67, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2008. A graduate of Purdue University, Charlie was recruited by Sandia National Laboratories as a draftsman, where he worked until his retirement in 2001. Charlie was an avid sports fan, and especially loved football, bowling, and boating. He was also a stock car driver in Albuquerque for a number of years. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ellen (Hill) Coffin, in 1994; and also his parents, Oris and Florence Coffin. He is survived by his children; Curtis and Julie Coffin; his loving companion, Connie Herrera; siblings Kenneth Coffin and wife, Nancy, and Virginia Stark and husband, Tom; father-in-law, Bill Hill; brother-in-law, Randy Hill and wife, Pat; sisters-in-law Linda Hill and Leslie Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held February 28, 2008, 6:00 p.m. at Northdale Baptist Church, 123 Osuna Road.
