PETERSON -- Elda Peterson, 87, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2008, after years of selfless devotion to her husband, family, and church. Elda was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was very active with the quilting guild. Many young children awaiting foster care as well as senior citizens requiring special assistance have been warmed by the quilts she made with love for all that received them. Elda was preceded in death by her husband and one son. She is survived by two daughters, two sons, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister, and one brother. Memorial Services will be held at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Private disposition will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House at 1011 Yale NE, Albuquerque, 87106. She will be missed by the many who loved her.
