BERGER -- Marilyn June (Lichtenberger) Berger, went to be with our Lord on January 19, 2008. She was born in Pekin, Illinois at home on June 22, 1929 to Christ and Rose (Keller) Lichtenberger. She graduated from Pekin Community High School (PCHS). Her first job was with Farmers Auto of Pekin. She worked at Caterpillar until she moved in 1965 to Albuquerque. She worked for Social Security Administration until her retirement in 1972. She married Thomas Berger in 1968 and raised her daughters. She loved traveling and visiting their grandkids scattered across the U.S. meeting new friends in their motor home trips and cherished all of them. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Berger of Albuquerque; one brother, Ken Lichtenberger and wife, Lee of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Jennifer Sandoval and husband, Samuel of Albuquerque, Beth Steele and husband, Thomas of Oklahoma City and Cynthia Gfeller and husband, Eric of Albuquerque. She also enjoyed the entertainment and joy of her wonderful ten grandkids and ten great grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held at French Mortuary Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE, on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. She will be buried in Pekin, Illinois.
