STAMM -- MARTHA LEE Beloved mother, "Nana", sister, and friend, Martha Lee Stamm, 85, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends, on Saturday morning, January 12, 2008. Marty was born on June 26, 1922 in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, spent her early childhood in Espanola, and lived her remaining years in Santa Fe, where she raised a family and became an active member of the community. She was involved with the St. Vincent Hospital Medical Auxiliary, the Santa Fe Garden Club, the Folk Art Museum, and Open Hands. Marty was also an avid golfer, bridge player, gardener, cook, and faithful member of The Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Stamm; and is survived by her sister, Peggy Kuula (and her daughters, Lee and Ann), her children: Nancy Lee, Lisa Katz-Ricker, Marcia Johnson, and Leo Katz; her stepchildren Linda Strong, Jack Stamm, Craig Stamm, Becky Stamm, and Jennifer Stamm; 11 loving grandchildren; seven loving great-grandchildren. Marty will also be missed by her many friends, especially the members of the "Monday Lunch Bunch", whom Marty loved so dearly. The family wishes to express special deep appreciation to Kaye and Lupe Portillo for their loving devoted care of Marty for the last seven years. Funeral Services will be held at Holy Faith Episcopal Church in Santa Fe on Saturday, January 26, 2008, 10 a.m., with a reception immediately following at Palen Hall. As Allen and Marty were lifelong supporters of various charities and educational funds, Marty requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Open Hands of Santa Fe" (986-1077). Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Services 1399 Luisa Street Santa Fe, NM 87505 (505) 984-8600
