MONTES -- Petronilio "Pete" Montes, 82, of Rio Rancho, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Pete is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marguerite; son, Mark, of San Bernardino CA; daughter, Maria Oliver, of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Angerman. During his life Pete was actively involved with volunteer work including time in Mexico, California and New Mexico. Pete was a Navy WWII veteran serving in the South Pacific. Pete was a devoted and loving man who many would call "friend". His love of people was a great attribute to all who knew him. Pete will be surely missed by all who loved and knew him. Cremation has taken place, and services will be held at a later date. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd.
