POWELL -- David M. Powell, 58, of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008, in Las Vegas, NV. David was born February 17, 1949, in Albuquerque at St. Joseph Hospital to Harry M. and Shirley N. Powell. He had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1995 where he worked for a large accounting firm. He was also a veteran of the Army. Survivors include his son, Ryan Kortman and his wife, Tiffany of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Faith and Brandon, of Phoenix; five brothers, Roger Powell and his wife, JoLyn of Alamogordo, Donald Powell and his wife, Sylvia of Tularosa, Jeff Powell of Albuquerque, Mark Powell and his wife, Kim of Santa Fe, Eric Powell and his wife, Cindy of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place in Las Vegas. At David's request, there will be no services. A private inurnment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Tularosa.
