HARTLEY -- Christina M. Hartley, age 82, passed away on December 28, 2007 in Veguita. She was previously resident of SW Albuquerque since 1948. She loved children, hugs and feeding anyone who came to her home. She was always a happy spirit. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since age 14, and a member of Sunport Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Christina had been a licensed cosmetologist for over 50 years. She also taught at Mountainview Elementary School prior to transferring to Pajarito Elementary School as an educator, school nurse, and librarian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Hartley; and a son, Don Lee Hartley. She is survived by her son, Robert G. Hartley II and his companion, Sindy Chavez of Veguita; her daughter, Violet LaVere Emms and her husband, Curtis of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Chester, Karen, Jesse, Patrica, Kristen, Jamie, Samantha, Cameron, and Jeff; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A public viewing will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. in the Relief Society Room of the Sunport Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8130 Sage Rd. SW, Albuquerque, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Grave dedication and interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
