GARZA -- Daniel Garza Jr., 61, passed away December 24, 2007. He was born on February 18, 1946, to Daniel and Tanis Garza in Hobbs, NM. Daniel has been a resident of Albuquerque for 28 years. He was co-owner of Garza and Garza Auto body with his cousin, Pete Garza, since 1985. Daniel's passions in life were his loving wife, children, and his Corvettes. Daniel was a member of the New Mexico Corvette Association. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Karen-Lynn Fiato; his mother, Tanis Garza of Albuquerque; children, Ryan Bowman and Madelynn Garza, both of Albuquerque; grandson, Robert Bowman of Albuquerque; sisters, Christine Whittle and husband, Joe of WA, Geneva Acosta and husband, Joe of Hobbs, NM, and Lydia Moyers of TX; father-in-law, Vincent Fiato of Truth or Consequences; cousins, Pete and Adam Garza; and numerous other relatives and close friends. Services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the NE Heights Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. A private family burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Daniel's name to UNMH, 2211 Lomas Blvd NE, 272-2111.
