TORRES -- TOMMIE Mrs. Tommie Torres, 79, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 29, 2007, and is now in Heaven with our Lord. Mrs. Torres is the beloved mother to Leonard Torres and wife, Toni. Mrs. Torres is also survived by her sisters, Lena Paiz and husband, Sam, Josie Castillo and husband, Leo; seven grandchildren, Daniel R. Torres III, David Torres, Andrew Torres, Sarah Torres, Veronica Duran, J.J. Duran and Matthew Blea; three great grandchildren, Alexis Torres, Gabriela Torres and Mariela Torres and many nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Mrs. Torres is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Torres Sr., a son, Danny Torres Jr., her parents, Placido and Sarah Garcia, a sister, Clarabelle Paiz and husband, Deacon Robert Paiz. Mrs. Torres was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation for Mrs. Torres will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be held at 3:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with Mass of Christian to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father John Tourangeau. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Damian Castillo, Daniel Torres III, Robert Montoya, Phillip Paiz Jr., Ronald Torres, and Danny Torres.
