LACOUR -- Willie LaCour, 96, of Albuquerque, went home on Tuesday, November 20, 2007. He was born September 11, 1911 in Melrose, LA to the late, Elwar and Eugenia LaCour. Willie was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary "Mag" Magdalene in 1995. He retired from Greyhound Lines where he was a diesel mechanic after 30 years of service. Willie was a Eucharistic minister and was devoted to meeting the needs of everyone within the church. In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy, Manuel, and Emile; and one sister, Ellen; two grandchildren, Tommy and Louise. He is survived by three daughters, Nola Monette, Virginia Dubriel and her husband, Wesley, and Marie Gallion and her husband, Alphonse all of Albuquerque; two sons, Willie A. LaCour and his wife, Maria Elena of Albuquerque and Louis A.S. LaCour of Edgewood; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marie Metoyer and her husband, Anthony, of Albuquerque; and scores of other relatives and friends. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2007 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE. Funeral Mass will be 9:00 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2007, also at San Jose Catholic Church with Monsignor Richard Olona as celebrant and assisted by Deacon Frank Perez. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation at the church from 6:00 p.m. until time of the Rosary service.
